Description

Trade Floor Desktop Support Engineer - 5 days per week onsite


This role requires the individual to provide 1st & 2nd line IT support and work on projects from time to time.


Working on a 8 hour shift pattern covering 7am to 7pm (Mon – Fri).


Predominantly the IT support provide support to the users by the groups IT support hotline, ITSM ticketing system (Service NOW) and group mailbox, dealing with desktop software, hardware & mobile working issues


You must be highly customer focused and ability to work in a high-pressured environment, supporting and liaising with multiple teams along with using incident & problem management processes.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with IT support issues & queries via team hotline and ITSM ticketing system(Service NOW)
  • Manage day-to-day support to ensure stability, reliability and availability of applications and services for the business
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with users
  • Escalating issues as necessary per established escalation policies
  • Collect diagnostics and other supporting evidence to identify the root cause of problems
  • Create and maintain all operational documentation, processes and procedures
  • Working closely to ITIL concepts and principles

  • Qualification, Experience & Skills:

    • Microsoft Windows & MAC OS
    • Microsoft Active Directory
    • Desktop Hardware
    • Microsoft Office suite
    • Mobile Technologies (iPhones, IPads, etc.) and MDM (MobileIron \ Airwatch)
    • Service Now
    • SCCM desktop client management
    • Front Office exposure to Market Data systems – Bloomberg, Thompson Reuters, Factset and market leading broker apps
    • Experience on VDI
    • Desktop support with customer service background
    • Knowledge or conceptual understanding of infrastructure technologies – servers, networks, core services, storage, etc.
