We are seeking a highly motivated and autonomous Trade, Legal & Compliance, Senior Advisor to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will. This is a unique opportunity to shape our export compliance programs and work with a dynamic, international team.
As a Senior Advisor, you will oversee and focus on export control regulations of countries within the region, while also assessing the impact of US-origin export controls on local operations. You will collaborate with trade professionals in other regions to develop, implement, and maintain export compliance programs as well as manage export licenses, conduct audits, and act as the regional point of contact for trade compliance issues, providing guidance and support to regional business units. This role requires a proactive approach to monitoring regulatory changes, mitigating risks, and ensuring seamless international trade operations.
You’ll be required to work from our Bourne End (SL8 5XF) office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive export compliance programs to ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in export control, trade compliance, dual-use licensing, or an equivalent field.
- Strong understanding of international trade sanctions.
- Strong grasp of general trade compliance issues, rules, and regulations.
- Understanding of dual-use technology risks, encryption regulations, IT transfer risks, and re-export risks.
- Familiarity with export compliance software (e.g., SAP Global Trade Services) and restricted party screening tools.
- Knowledge of high-risk regions and associated compliance challenges.
