A major Hedge Fund, rapidly expanding their presence in Europe, are hiring a Trader Assistant for their London investment desk.
Sitting with a high-profile trading team, the hire will have coverage of a high-volume, high-performing multi-strategy book. Beyond trade booking & risk/P&L/attribution analysis and reporting responsibilities, the role will be heavily street-facing and project focused (varied work for head traders that you sit with).
The role offers varied progression potential – TA’s in international offices have moved internally in to trading, assistant portfolio manager, risk, quant & COO office positions. Moves to any of the firm’s international offices can also be possible.
Candidates should have 5-10yrs experience in a trader assistant / middle office role in a hedge fund or an IB. Broad derivatives experience / knowledge is required. The firm typically favour ivy league equivalent academics.
This is a very important hire – my client is committed to paying the successful candidate a substantial increase on his/her current base salary, within an £80-120k range ideally. Trader Assistants at the firm earn 50-100% bonuses (the larger variable will be dependent on individual and fund performance).
