About The Role
Be part of this ‘once in a generation’ project that will deliver clean energy to 6 million homes for the next 60
years. Sizewell C will see the creation of a 3.2 Gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast to
provide reliable load low-carbon electricity.
The Civil Works Alliance is an extended delivery enterprise involving Sizewell C and three international
construction companies: Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Laing O’Rourke.
We are more than just an alliance, we are bringing together a single delivery organisation with years of
learning and experience from other major complex infrastructure programmes worldwide
What you'll be doing
Develop and implement traffic management plans in line with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs
Manual and relevant UK regulations.

What you'll be doing
Develop and implement traffic management plans in line with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs
Manual and relevant UK regulations.
- Coordinate with site management, contractors to minimise disruption and maintain safety.
- Supervise the setup, maintenance, and removal of traffic control systems (signage, barriers,
- Monitor traffic flow and adjust management measures as required to maintain efficiency and
safety.
Who we're looking for
Knowledge & Skills
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health & safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of traffic management activities, incidents, and inspections.
- Provide training and guidance to site operatives on traffic safety procedures.
- Conduct route reconnaissance for AIL deliveries and assist local authorities in the
Who we're looking for
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven experience in traffic management within the construction sector.
- Valid LANTRA or NHSS 12 traffic management qualification.
- Strong knowledge of UK road safety legislation and site traffic control best practices.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing site conditions.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Analytical thinker with a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Strong communicator, able to present complex data simply.
- Collaborative, working closely with both technical and operational teams.
- Proactive in identifying issues before they escalate
