Description

A fixed term contract to meet the requirements of the GPhC to register as a pharmacist. Working either at UHP only or as a cross-sector trainee with one of our partner organisations.

Job description

To complete a structured training programme approved by the GPhC To provide delivery of patient care and pharmaceutical services under supervision To be aware of and work within: procedures and policies of the host trainingorganisation, accepted standards of practice, relevant legislation and regulatoryrequirements To be responsible for self-directed learning To demonstrate competence as specified by the GPhC To participate in education and training programmes and other activities to developknowledge and skills as part of a commitment to continuing professionaldevelopment To review progress regularly with the designated supervisor and undertake formalprogress reviews in line with GPhC requirements, to identify development needs To undertake and support quality improvement processes To undertake mandatory training as deemed necessary by the host trainingorganisation To practice in accordance with the professional standards set by the GPhC andStatutory Education Bodies (Health Education England and Health Education andImprovement Wales) To participate in weekend, bank holiday and late duty work rotas as required To undertake any other duties commensurate with the post

The hospital is a tertiary centre for Cardiothoracics, Trauma, Renal Transplant, Opthalmology, Neuro ITU, Neurosurgery, Interventional radiology and Hepatology.

In 2025, we will be offering 10 foundation trainee placements with a mixture of hospital only and some cross-sectors programmes. During the hospital programme you will experience a variety of clinical experience from our breadth of services. For cross-sector, you will spend a minimum of 13 weeks with either our PCN (GP) partners, community pharmacy, and Mental Health at Livewell . You will receive regular support throughout your training year: your wellbeing and career is important to us.

After your training year,you will without doubt want to join our PROPEL programme, to continue to develop and progress your career in Britain's Ocean City!
