Education/ Qualifications
Essential
- Technical/scientific degree, BTEC, HNC/HND, DCR or equivalent
- Current driving license.
Desirable
- NHS PTP accredited BSc honours degree in medical physics (radiation physics)
Experience
Essential
- Experience in a technical or scientific field.
Desirable
- Experience of X-ray quality assurance and radiation protection
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
Knowledge, Training & Abilities
Essential
- Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, use of internet)
- Good interpersonal skills.
Desirable
- Understanding of ionising and non ionising radiation risks to staff, patients and the public.
- Knowledge of radiation regulations and guidance
- Knowledge of use of radiation in medicine
- Experience with radiation measuring equipment
