Job Title: Paralegal (Asset Finance – Transportation)
Reports to: Sigma Lawyer

About The Job/Key Responsibilities
You will work as a member of one of our Transactional Teams within Reed Smith Legal Solutions, a multi-disciplinary global delivery team serving the Reed Smith global business. The role will be based in London and will primarily support lawyers in the RS London Transportation group but may also be required to assist other practice areas or groups in the firm as needed from time to time.
You will work as part of a team helping to build and maintain an efficient and cost-effective solution for key Transportation client services.
Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Handling day-to-day management of workload ie -
- Drafting standard form aircraft and engine delivery and loan drawdown documents
- Preparing execution versions and managing signing processes
- Managing conditions precedent processes
- Aircraft and engine deliveries and loan drawdowns
- Preparing transaction bibles and managing originals
- Client and stakeholder correspondence
- Project/transaction management
- Performing International Registry searches
- Assisting with other transactional or legal tasks required by the Transportation group
- Ensuring a high standard of work, in line with required hours targets and to assume responsibility for maintenance of the relevant delivery frameworks and standard operating procedures as necessary
- Understanding and triaging new instructions and, where appropriate, delegating appropriately to other team members
- Identifying training needs and addressing these with the team or on an individual basis to ensure a high level of service delivery
- Developing, delivering and maintaining accurate documentation, training and process manuals for the team and identifying opportunities for and implementing process improvement initiatives
- Assisting with ad hoc administrative and legal tasks under instruction

Education/Qualification/Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Law degree or post-graduate legal certification/ qualification helpful but not essential
- Minimum 12 months’ experience of commercial aviation legal work as a paralegal, ideally within a full service commercial law firm.
