Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales is one of Wales’s most significant cultural institutions. As a national charity with seven museums across the country, we believe our museums belong to everyone — and should reflect the full diversity, history and future of Wales.
We are now seeking up to three new Trustees to help shape our strategic direction and support our transformation as we deliver our Strategy 2030 and upcoming Five‑Year Business Plan. This is a unique opportunity to help influence cultural change on a national scale.
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome people from all parts of Wales and all backgrounds, especially those whose voices are often under‑represented in public leadership, including people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities, disabled people, LGBTQ+ people, BSL users, people from lower‑income backgrounds, and those from North, Mid and West Wales.
You do not need previous board experience.
Your lived experience and perspective are valuable and encouraged.

What the Role Involves
As a Trustee, you will help set strategic direction, support and challenge our work, champion the organisation, and contribute to a more inclusive cultural sector.
