Trustee with legal expertise - Volunteer

Do you have experience in the legal sector and a passion for making a difference? We are seeking a new Trustee with legal expertise to help guide our strategy.

What difference will you make?

This is a pivotal role on the Board, ensuring that we are complying with charity and company law, as well as making a significant contribution to the charity's governance and strategic leadership.

You will bring your expertise and energy to the Board, making sure that we are fulfilling our mission of providing support to local people at a challenging time in their lives.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with the following skills

• Qualified solicitor or barrister or significant experience in legal practice
• Strong understanding of charity law, company law, compliance and governance
• Experience and understanding of the role of Company Secretary
• Experience at senior leadership level
• Exceptional communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
  
  

What will you be doing?

This voluntary role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of commercial law, governance and risk management and preferably experience in charity law who can balance strategic thinking with attention to detail.
