What are we looking for?

Being a Disabled People's User Led Organisation we understand how useful lived experience can be when working to improve the lives of disabled people; however we are happy to accept applications form anyone who believes their skills and experience could support the organisation through our period of change and renewal.

- Advocacy Service (member of Sheffield Advocacy Hub)
- Sheffield Voices self-advocacy group for people with learning disabilities and autism
- Specialist information service
- Disabled people’s cycling group
- Disabled people’s travel service

We're Recruiting for General Trustees
Lived experience welcome, but not essential. Bring your knowledge and/or experience of living with a disability or long-term health condition to contribute to the successful operation of our board and our charity.
Board members are responsible for planning for the future of Disability Sheffield. They are ultimately responsible for ensuring the finances, staff and volunteers and the material resources required to carry out that plan are available and effectively deployed. They do this through attending and contributing to Board meetings; and as active members of any sub-committees or working groups that exist. Along with others, Board members represent Disability Sheffield in the city and beyond.
