The Role
- To carry out administrative tasks as required to support the underwriting team.
- Attend and organise key client meetings, including responsibility for agenda circulation, minutes and preparatory analysis.
- Maintain records of pipeline submissions and ensure this is kept up to date.
- Take responsibility for filing special acceptance submissions and collating and maintaining relevant logs.
- Assisting underwriters in the pre-bind underwriting process for new business and renewals. Inputting and monitoring workflows in Monday.com and ensuring tasks are completed by the underwriting team members.
- Assisting in the day-to-day operation of delegated authority contracts, including review of slips and endorsements.
- Assisting underwriters with the production of management information, including statistical analysis and production of reports for monthly management meetings, product oversight groups and other committees as necessary.
- Delegated Authority experience essential
- Prior relevant work experience and understanding of the insurance industry required
- Keen interest and curiosity of data; able to interpret information and identify trends and patterns
- Advanced numeric and analytical skills.
- Expert knowledge of MS Excel, ability to design complex formulae and pivot tables
- Strong administration and data entry skills.
- Highly organised, with the ability to work to deadlines and effectively prioritise.
- Confident to manage upwards and ensure team members are completing their required actions!
- Ability to work independently using their own initiative and also well as part of a team.
