Role Purpose

The successful candidate will have responsibility for the repairs and regular maintenance of fuelling vehicles.

What you will be doing

• Specification, procurement, and installation of suitable equipment associated with fuelling and HGV vehicle repair and maintenance.
• Diagnostics, Running repairs, Vehicle Inspections, MOT Preparation (to Menzies, London Stansted Airport standard).
• Servicing Fuelling and maintenance vehicle pack to include Pressure Controllers, Hose Pressure Tests, Filter Changes, Electronic water detection system checks, Hose changes, Hydraulic system checks and repairs.
• Carry out Quality Control to SOAM 6 standards.
• Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of Health and safety awareness and have good knowledge of safe working practices.
• Must be flexible to work at other locations throughout the UK when required

What we are looking for

• Valid driving license with LGV C is essential (C+E, ADR, CPC would be an advantage)
• Ability to maintain high levels of awareness in relation to Health, Safety, security and the Environment is crucial in all tasks conducted in the depot.
• High standard of numeracy and literacy skills required in addition to problem solving skills.

• Knowledge of Mercedes vehicles desirable
• Knowledge of vehicle electrics and hydraulic systems (certification desirable).
• Good knowledge of the vehicle fuelling pack is highly desirable.
• Must have a checkable five-year employment history.
