Description
This is a part-time role (3 days a week that are Monday, Tuesday and one other weekday which is changeable). It's 24 hours a week. As a Nurse you will be accountable for the clinical delivery of nurse led appointments and will be required to support the Vet with procedures as required ensuring we deliver exceptional care always there to our clients, patients and colleagues whilst maintaining the highest levels of regulatory and operational standards and compliance.

We’re looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team at Medivet Little Hadham.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys delivering exceptional patient care and wants to work in a bright, spacious, and well-equipped practice.

You’ll be joining a three-vet practice, with two vets working each day. A new vet will also be starting in September, adding to the strong clinical team. You’ll be supported by an experienced HRVN, two Student Veterinary Nurses, and one VCA, and work alongside a longstanding Branch Partner who has been with the practice for over 10 years.

We’re ideally looking for someone who is a Clinical Coach, as you’ll play a key role in mentoring our student nurses and supporting their development.

Our beautiful practice features two consult rooms, a large reception area, and a spacious prep room. It is fully equipped with modern facilities, and we benefit from regular ultrasound support from a nearby branch. We also collaborate closely with surrounding practices and refer more complex cases to our 24-hour hospital in Enfield, ensuring comprehensive care for our patients.

This is a part-time role working 24 hours per week across Monday, Tuesday, and one additional weekday.

Role Accountabilities

In This Role You Will

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
  • Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
  • Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
  • Deliver patient monitoring and care.
  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
  • Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
  • Dispense and check medication.
  • Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
  • Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.

  • Your Skills And Experience

    • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
    • Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
    • Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
    • Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
    • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
