We have an exciting new role available for a full-time Veterinary Receptionist at New Priory Vets Brighton and Peacehaven, and Beech House Vets Brighton. This position is to cover maternity leave for approximately 10 months

Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner are essential. A driving license is preferred but not essential.

Your role will involve:

  • To be the first line contact for clients and their pets within our practice and via telephone
  • Triage emergencies & provide advice
  • Relay all messages taken accurately & act in a timely manner
  • Act courteously and professionally at all times.
  • Welcome and register clients on arrival, make appointments.
  • Dispense medicines as directed by our vets.
  • Take payments and cash up.
  • Social Media content management
  • Complete referrals and other administrative tasks

Our Brighton Clinic is based within our flagship hospital in central Brighton. The clinic provides a comprehensive range of general practice veterinary services, including medicine, surgery, radiography, ultrasound and dentistry, along with the support of nursing clinics – all bolstered by excellent hospital facilities. Patients of our Brighton Clinic can also benefit from the on-site support of Brighton Veterinary Referrals if additional expertise is required.

We are a 5-minute walk from the train station and a 20-minute walk to central Brighton. The area is perfect if you enjoy a mix of vibrant town life with beautiful countryside and outdoor activities on your doorstep.

This is a great location in the vibrant seaside town of Brighton and Hove. With it’s exciting and diverse culture, beautiful beach and seafront and excellent transport links to central London and Gatwick airport, Brighton and the surrounding area is a fantastic place to live.

Our beautiful Peacehaven Clinic delivers advanced general practice services to clients on the coast but clients also benefit from the skill sets and facilities available at the Brighton hospital if required.

Beech House is a small, first-opinion practice in Preston Park, offering general practice to our clients and referral to the Brighton hospital if required.

The Perfect Fit

We hope to find an enthusiastic and proactive team member who is passionate about pet health care and experienced in using computers, including Outlook, Word, OneDrive & Excel.

Rota

This is a full-time, temporary role to cover maternity leave. You will work 40 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday (10-hour shifts) and cover weekends on rotation.
