An exciting opportunity has arisen within Medicine for a Ward Receptionist to work in our Gastroenterology/Endocrine/Haematology ward. The successful candidate will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team (nurses, medical team, allied health professionals) to ensure patients on our ward receive the highest standard of care and have a positive experience whilst supporting flow through the Hospital.
The successful postholders main duties include admitting, discharging and transferring patients, answering telephone enquiries from both internal/ external departments as well as patients relatives. They will ensure patient notes are processed promptly and to act with confidentiality. To organise transport, order and maintain stationery levels, and to coordinate any ward requests to maintain flow through the ward.
