Ward Manager (Haemonc)- Chemotherapy Day Unit - Band 7

We are a nurse-led service, providing high-quality chemotherapy and supportive therapies to patients with haematology and solid cancers. Our 7A Chemotherapy Day Unit is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centred care in a dynamic and supportive environment. We are seeking an experienced and inspired individual with expertise in cancer and chemotherapy care to lead our team and ensure the highest standards of care for our patients.

We are looking for an experience in cancer and chemotherapy care, particularly in haematology and solid cancers. With strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and support a diverse team. Ability to lead by example, promote teamwork, and support the continuous development of staff.

As the Ward Manager of our 7A Chemotherapy Day Unit, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of the unit while leading a team of registered nurses, healthcare support workers, and students. You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, safe, and effective care to patients, ensuring optimal patient flow, and fostering a culture of teamwork and innovation.

You will collaborate closely with the medical team and other multidisciplinary professionals to deliver comprehensive care to those undergoing chemotherapy and supportive therapies. You’ll also take on a leadership role in managing resources, driving service devel
opment, and ensuring that the unit meets key performance targets.
