We are recruiting for a Warehouse Apprentice at Croydon Warehouse, giving you a fantastic opportunity to grow your Facilities and Warehouse management skills.

Being an apprentice is an exciting challenge – often demanding but hugely rewarding. You will be training within a heritage environment, working alongside and learning from our experienced and dedicated team, developing skills and knowledge.

The role will involve supporting the Warehouse Manager and developing knowledge of all areas of Warehouse operations in a busy environment, including using computer systems and the receiving & processing of retail goods. This role will require you to communicate effectively with your colleagues regarding planned deliveries.

Whilst Studying Towards Your Apprenticeship You Will Also

  • Unload and accept deliveries from external suppliers, advising the Warehouse Deputy Team Leader and or Mentor of any discrepancies.  
  • To understand and comply with Health safety and compliance.  
  • Check delivery quantities with packing notes and buyers’ orders.  
  • Book stock into our retail WMS system.   
  • Locate the items received in the storage area.  
  • Involvement and understanding of basic stock management.  
  • Picking Retail shop deliveries via handheld terminal and paper picks.  
  • Supporting and gaining an understanding in the planning when loading our Retail delivery vehicles.  
  • Working alongside our Ecommerce team to fulfil our online customer orders.  
  • Gain an understanding in our stocktaking processes.  
  • Housekeeping qualities.  
  • To understand the charity and site sustainability goals.  
  • Understand our part to play in the Central Warehouse Audit responsibilities.  
  • Use basic Microsoft Outlook, Word,  
  • Full exposure to our Three Pillars, Reach Further, Mean More, Act for the Future.  
  • Carry out willingly any other instructions given by the Warehouse Deputy Team Leader and or Manager. 

  • We do have some essential criteria in order to be successful in your application:

    • You must be 18 years old or over
    • You must not have completed a degree or equivalent level qualification in the UK or elsewhere.
    • You must be able to commute to your assigned place of work
    • Must be able to commit to the full duration of the apprenticeship
