What You’ll Be Doing
Are you passionate about shaping organisational culture and driving meaningful change? We are looking for a motivated and proactive Workforce Delivery Officer to help deliver our ambitious Workforce Strategy and ensure the Council has the people, skills, and culture needed to provide excellent services to our residents.
In this role, you will lead the coordination and delivery of the Council’s Workforce Strategy, working across services to turn plans into action. You will track progress against key workforce priorities such as recruitment, retention, skills development, leadership capacity, and employee wellbeing.
You’ll work closely with senior leaders and Members to ensure strong governance, reporting, and alignment with the Council Plan and Medium-Term Financial Strategy. Using workforce data and insight, you will identify risks, monitor trends such as vacancy rates and turnover, and help shape solutions that strengthen workforce sustainability. A key part of the role will be supporting culture transformation—championing the Council’s values, facilitating engagement sessions and workshops, and helping deliver initiatives that build an inclusive, high-performing workplace. You will also support employee engagement activities, internal communications, and partnerships with regional workforce networks.
If you enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and want to play a key role in shaping the future workforce of the Council, we’d love to hear from you.
