About The Role
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity to join the Power Transmission and Distribution team as a Works Supervisors, based in Fort Augustus.
This is an exciting opportunity where Balfour Beatty will provide you with a 13-week Upskilling Programme, designed to accelerate your professional growth and equip you with the latest industry competencies.

What you'll be doing
Reporting into the Project Manager/Project Engineer you will for accountable for
successful project delivery including planning of subcontracted works, setting
subcontractors to work, assisting in planning and delivery of overall and wider works
program, monitoring of works, ensuring documentation is in place for work activities and ensure works are being delivered efficiently and safely.
This role will be responsible for supervising small teams including sub contractors.
This first 13 weeks are a structured programme that blends core and mandatory training, including health and safety, first aid, and digital skills, with advanced modules in project management, technical documentation, environmental sustainability, and commercial awareness.
You’ll develop key skills in leadership, planning, incident response, and stakeholder communication, all while building a strong foundation for future career progression within the organisation. By the end of the 13 weeks, you’ll be fully prepared to take on the challenges of a Works Supervisor role, with a clear pathway for ongoing development and advancement in the Power T&D sector.
The training location is still being determined.
This role is aimed at those with a little to some experience in working in a construction environment and we are open minded as to what industry that is in.
Who we're looking for
To join us in this role, ideally you will have some or most of the following:
Previous experience in any construction role or environment
Experience in implementing safe systems of work
Good interpersonal skills that enable working relationships to be developed at all levels across the business and be able to negotiate and influence
Able to communicate effectively both verbal and written with all levels of the organisation
Able to undertake work in high pressure situations with a flexible attitude
Ideally holds CSCS and SSSTS or equivalent
You must hold a valid UK driving license
This training is already scheduled, so we are looking for people that can start on the 26th January 2026 and be available for the full 13 weeks.
