Youth Connect South West (YCSW) is a young people's charity in Bath and North East Somerset. We provide a range of services to support young people to enjoy today, prepare for tomorrow, and become the people they want to be.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Key Worker to help support students with special educational needs (SEND) and Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The role also involves providing emotional and social support to students, helping them to engage effectively with the curriculum and participate in positive activities. Along with safely transporting students to and from college, appointments and activities as needed.

Purpose of Job

  • Support students with SEND and social emotional mental health (SEMH) needs.
  • Provide daily assistance with the preparation and implementation of individualised learning plans.
  • Help create a positive learning environment for students.
  • Provide emotional and social support to students, helping them engage effectively with the curriculum and participate in positive activities.
  • Safely transport students to and from activities and appointments as needed.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to supporting SEND students
