We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic and motivated Activity Co-ordinator to join our inpatient team. This is an exciting opportunity to support adults and children to access meaningful, patient-centred activities that promote recovery, confidence, independence and wellbeing.
Working closely with ward teams and the senior Activity Co-ordinator team, you will plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to patients' interests, goals and abilities. You will help create opportunities for discovery, purpose and achievement within a safe and supportive environment.
Plan and deliver meaningful activity sessions for patients with learning disabilities and/or autism.Work collaboratively with ward teams and the senior Activity Co-ordinator team.Support patients to engage in activities that promote recovery, confidence and social inclusion.Use excellent communication and engagement skills to encourage participation and achievement of patient goals.Develop and adapt activities using available resources and individual patient interests.Work alongside other teams and external organisations to create varied opportunities for patients.Use IT systems to support activity delivery, maintain records and develop resources.Contribute to risk management planning and report any concerns relating to patient safety or wellbeing.Support the development of patients' skills, independence and meaningful occupation.Work flexibly across the service, including evenings and weekends where required.
