Work with us and develop specialist skills in the management of advanced Critical Care therapies for critically ill adults.
Candidates will ideally have prior experience in recovery or critical care nursing. Experience in cardiac nursing is desirable although not essential. We require all applicants to have experience as a registered nurse in an acute surgical setting. Induction and training will be tailored to suit the individual candidates needs and provide support for those with minimal experience of caring for level 2 & 3 patients
The unit offers a variety of development opportunities to successful candidates, including critical care diploma/degree modules as well as a range of in-house study days.

The post is working within Critical Care at the Royal Brompton hospital in Elizabeth intensive care and High Dependency Unit.
The post holder will work under the supervision of the ward manager and multi-disciplinary team members in monitoring and maintaining excellent standards of nursing care and staff development, as part of the ward team.
To be responsible for the continuing professional development and overall performance of student nurses and unqualified staff in Critical Care.
The post holder is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care with provisions of preceptorship/mentorship.
To be flexible in the approach to the clinical area and provide cover for any area specified.
