This role will suit an exceptional leader with passion, ambition and the experience to support the achievement of our goals.
With extensive experience in NHS annual planning processes within a large, complex organisation, the postholder will provide visible and transformational leadership for the organisation’s operational planning programme, working closely with the senior operational leadership team and divisions, translating our ambitions into deliverable, evidence based plans.
You will develop and implement key strategies and programmes that underpin annual business planning and will support delivery and oversight of performance objectives.
Utilising your experience in performance oversight and delivery, you will have responsibility for the establishment of an effective performance oversight framework using a suite of high quality dashboards and reports and working with key stakeholders including committees, regulators and system partners to ensure compliance with national policy and to provide assurance on performance and recovery as required.

Interpret national, system and local priorities and objectives ensuring trust plans are aligned with these.
Provide advice and leadership to ensure that the organisation’s ambitions are translated into effective operational plans, utilising strong analytical skills to interpret complex data sets.
Lead the development and implementation of strategies and programmes of work that underpin annual business planning activities including:
Establishment of an annual planning cycle, including co-ordination of national returns and the development and delivery of the organisation’s activity and performance plans, to ensure these reflect the objectives of the organisation.
Establishment of a regular cycle of demand and capacity modelling to support operational planning, working with Business Intelligence and the divisions to deliver agreed outputs that inform business planning and service developments.
Establish a bed modelling process to support operational planning and delivery of urgent care objectives
Develop a system to monitor th
e delivery of annual activity and performance plans and to enable effective performance management.
