Clinical Development Fellowship (CDF) – Acute Internal Medicine
Full time (40 hours per week)
For a period of 12 months (fixed term)
Salary scale - £47,438 - £74,591 per annum (pro rata if part time)
Applications are invited for the position of Clinical Development Fellow (CDF) in Acute Internal Medicine. This post comprises a clinical role working in the Acute Medicine Department at Forth Valley Royal Hospital in conjunction with 30 days of professional and departmental development time over the year.
This would suit candidates who have recently completed or about to finish either UK Foundation Programmes or Internal Medical Training Stage 1 and have been assessed as being competent in delivering acute medical care under supervision. The post will give successful applicants the opportunity to gain experience in Acute Medicine before committing to IMT, ACCS or indeed higher specialty training in Acute Medicine, or would provide a professional development adjunct if interested in another non-acute specialty longer term. However, the department would also consider applicants who have completed IMT training and are considering a career in Acute Internal Medicine.
