About The Team And The Role
Working within the Commercial Development team and reporting into the Head of Pricing and Promotions, this role is at the forefront of how Ocado Retail optimises the way we pay for our goods for resale. Success within this team will be achieved through working closely with buying and support functions to identify and deliver commercial benefit through cost of goods best practices.
As a Cost Price Optimisation Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in helping to ensure Ocado Retail remains commercially successful. Your goal will be to ensure we are paying the optimum price for our goods via working closely with the buying team.
This will involve managing inflation by analysing cost price increases, supported by effective usage and management of AI agents, identifying deflationary opportunities in the market via commodity, currency & cost stack analysis along with overhead dilution, and a variety of value chain initiatives, such as case size optimisation, to drive efficiencies.
Working with senior commercial stakeholders from the start, you will be naturally inquisitive, commercially aware and able to communicate effectively to a range of audiences.
A combination of data proficiency, project management and commercial instinct will set you apart for this role. This opportunity will help you develop technically and commercially, putting you at the centre of Ocado Retail and its future success.
