An exciting opportunity is available at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust for the post of Deputy General Manager for Urgent Care, within Care Group One (UECC and Medicine).
This is a great opportunity for a dynamic leader to join our team as a Deputy General Manager within the Care Group covering the non-elective part of our Care Group right from UECC, through to assessment areas and on to our inpatient ward footprint.
You must have a track record in operational leadership, business development and delivery as well as experience in change management within the NHS. This role is designed to lead the non-elective aspects of our care group and to support and deputise for the Head of UECC and General Manager as and when required.
The purpose of the Deputy General Manager role is to support and deputise for the Head of UECC/General Manager in order to ensure that both strategic and operational demands are continually met. The post holder will have the overall management and responsibility for the delivery of a high quality, clinically effective and cost efficient service for the Care Group and is accountable to the Head of UECC/General Manager.
The post holder will be responsible for implementing and managing systems and processes to ensure that all services are delivered in accordance with Trust-wide policies. The post holder will have direct line management responsibility for the Operational Managers and workforce coordinators and the safe delivery and performance associated services. In the first instance this will include the review and where required the development of mechanisms for performance management at service level and representing the Head of UECC/General Manager in their absence.
