We are looking for enthusiastic dietitians to join our growing team in NHS Forth Valley (FV) and this opportunity is suitable for newly qualified dietitians or dietitians looking to gain further experience in general clinical dietetics.

A number of posts are available which allow excellent general dietetic experience working across a variety of locations such as Acute and Community Hospitals, Care Homes, domiciliary visits and clinics. This post offers the potential for experience in different clinical areas and specialities including but exclusively diabetes, paediatrics, inpatients and community outpatients. This post is supported and supervised by band 6 and band 7 dietitians. The Dietetic Team operates from both Forth Valley Royal Hospital and Stirling Community Hospital with the potential for some cross site and remote working.

The Forth Valley clinical dietetic team is a friendly and proactive team providing inpatient and outpatient services within Forth Valley Royal Hospital, 4 Community Hospitals and within Community Services. This post will be part of a team of 40 dietitians providing a wide variety of clinical specialities e.g. critical care, renal, stroke, paediatrics, diabetes, IBS, home enteral feeding along with 5 dietetic assistants and an administrative team. All team members are expected to actively contribute to departmental activities e.g. student training, department meetings and when necessary, provide some cover to other parts of the service, including the department duty service. The department is committed to providing excellent CPD opportunities and training for staff and is committed to supporting quality improvement and service development

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
