We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Emergency Nurse to join our senior leadership team as a Matron, working in close partnership with our existing Matron to provide visible, compassionate and effective leadership across the Emergency Department. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a proven track record in Urgent and Emergency Care to influence service delivery, drive quality improvement and support the large nursing workforce. Qualifications

Essential

• Registered nurse, midwife or Allied Health Proffesional (Included on NMC register or HCPC register) with ability to apply proffesional codes of conduct
• Education to Master's degree level or equilalent experience in health care
• Achievement of a progreamme of teaching, assesing and mentoring skills
• Evidence of continuing personal profesional development

Desirable

• Training in risk assesment and Duty of Candour processes

Experience

Essential

• Prior experience leading a team or a service
• Experience introducing change to improve practice
• Experience of working in accute services
• Experience in recruitment, retention and selection processes
• Experience of contributing to intergrated care initiatives
• Ward ot department management experience

Desirable

• Experience utilising Root Cause Analysis tools to investigation incidents

Experience undertaking audit and initiating actions to address findings
