Our Employment, Pensions and Immigration department is a market leader in the healthcare, independent health and care and local government sectors. In healthcare, in particular, we have Band 1 team and partner rankings in Chambers and Partners.
Alongside our established reputation in these markets, the national department continues to grow its profile and client base in our emerging markets including the insurance and finance, commercial, higher education and housing sectors.
This growing department, includes specialists in pensions and immigration. It operates as a national team and sits alongside our multi-disciplinary teams with specialists in information governance support as well as commercial and regulatory experts. The Employment department primarily acts for employers, including national and multi-national organisations, supporting them to improve their employment practices and manage workforce issues, as well as defending employment litigation and seeking to mitigate risks for clients.

It is envisaged that you would manage your own caseload whilst working with a number of our partner leads and colleagues across all 4 of our offices. You would be advising on employee relations matters including internal disciplinary/grievance/capability processes, reviewing policies and procedures and contracts, advising on equalities obligations, conduct of and/or support on Employment Tribunals, advising on TUPE processes including inputting into drafting of commercial agreements as well as delivering training on a broad range of employment issues and supporting business development.
With more than 150 new litigation instructions every year, our Employment department's litigation experience is second to none. Whether in the Tribunal, the EAT, the Court of Appeal or the High Court you will have the chance to be involved in ground-breaking employment litigation.
