Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Estimator role based in Bedford. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimations, analysing project requirements, ensuring competitive pricing proposals for clients, and proactively reaching out to contractors to help forge relationships which lead to further opportunities.
Day-to-day tasks include reviewing project plans, calculating material and labour costs, collaborating with the sales team, and maintaining records of estimates and project details. The Estimator will work closely with various departments to ensure the successful completion of projects and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in cost estimation, pricing strategies, and financial analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess project requirements
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
- Organisational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in relevant software tools for estimation and project management
- Previous experience in a similar role or industry is an advantage
- Degree or certification in a relevant field is a plus, but not necessary
