Description

The Labour Party is looking to recruit a Field Organiser - Wales.


Role: Field Organisers – Wales

Salary: £32,246.69 (gross) per annum, with a fixed sum allowance of £1,195.

This is a Regular Driver Role so also attracts a car allowance of £5,000 (gross) per annum, subject to internal checks.

Location: West Wales

Duration: A fixed-term contract to 08 May 2026.


The Welsh Labour Party is looking to recruit a Field Organiser. The post-holder will be responsible for all aspects of Labour Party organisation and campaigning within a number of electorally important areas, as determined by the Welsh General Secretary.


The post holder will be responsible for building and maintaining party organisation and activity; establishing effective election and campaign organisation working in liaison with staff teams, local candidates, elected representatives, Labour Party officers, campaign committees, Constituency Labour Parties, Branches, Labour Groups and other units within the Party.


The successful candidate will have:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Party organisation at branch, constituency and regional level
  • Experience of organising a campaign
  • Experience of working with volunteers
  • Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision and to deliver work to agreed deadlines

    Please note that this is a Regular Driver Role and there is a requirement to be able to drive and own a compliant car in this role. Any successful applicant will be required to drive and have a compliant car within 12 months of their start date. A driving licence is required for this role due to operational requirements including travel between multiple locations and transportation of campaign materials. Candidates who cannot drive due to disability are encouraged to apply as reasonable adjustments will be considered in line with the Equality Act 2010.
