Finance Regulatory Specialist

Location: Glasgow

Role Type: Contract - till December 2026 (possibility for extension)

Work Setup: Hybrid - 3 days in the office

The Role

Our client is a large multinational firm that provides a range of financial services, including advisory, investment, and asset management solutions. It serves a diverse set of clients worldwide, focusing on strategic planning, market operations, and long-term financial growth.

What you'll do

Review, validate, and support the delivery of daily and monthly liquidity and regulatory reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established controls.
Analyse liquidity reporting data, investigate variances, and provide insightful commentary on key business drivers and trends.
Maintain a robust control environment, ensuring consistency and alignment across reporting outputs and regulatory requirements.
Build and manage effective relationships with stakeholders across Treasury, Technology, Finance, and other business functions globally.
Support and drive process improvement initiatives, including automation projects and enhancements to reporting efficiency.
Provide oversight, guidance, and workload coordination for team members, supporting performance and professional development.

What you bring

5-8 years' experience in an accounting / finance role
Background in financial reporting, including the preparation, review, and analysis of reports and reporting outputs

Experience investigating variances, interpreting data, and providing insight into key business drivers and trends.

Regulatory reporting experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

Previous experience leading, mentoring, or supporting colleagues, with the ability to manage workloads and foster development.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

The ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team
