As a Healthcare Assistant at Pilgrims Hospices, you will play a key part in delivering compassionate, holistic care to patients with life limiting illnesses, supporting their comfort, dignity and wellbeing in a warm, collaborative environment.
Working as part of a large multidisciplinary team, you will assist with personal care, emotional support and daily activities that help patients live well, while building meaningful connections with families and colleagues. This role will be based at our Canterbury Hospice. Full and part time hours are available with variable shift work from Monday to Sunday including days and nights.
The post holder will assist the trained nurses in ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care in a safe and pleasant environment. Working as a member of a designated nursing team the HCA will deliver elements of care safely under the supervision of a trained nurse, treating patients with respect, dignity and kindness, valuing individuality and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
In order to be considered you must have NVQ Level II Care Certificate or equivalent.
