Job details
The HR Manager will lead and deliver a proactive, commercially focused HR service across the business, supporting a professional consultancy workforce. The role covers the full employee lifecycle and plays a key part in talent development, compliance, and organisational growth within the UK construction and built environment sector.
What you will do
HR Strategy & Advisory- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and initiatives.
- Support organisational change, restructuring, and growth initiatives.
Employee Relations- Manage all ER matters
- Ensure fair, consistent, and legally compliant decision-making across the business.
- Advise managers on employment law, best practice, and ACAS guidelines.
Confident advising and influencing managers at all levels.Experience supporting organisational change, consultation processes, and TUPE, with the ability to navigate complex people matters.Familiarity with professional accreditation frameworks (e.g. RICS, CIOB) and supporting hybrid or flexible working models.Personal Qualities- Pragmatic, commercially minded, and solutions focused.
- Approachable, discreet, and professional in style.
- Comfortable operating strategically while remaining hands on in delivery.
- Self sufficient and organised, able to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Agile and collaborative, with the confidence to engage credibly with engineers and fee-earning professionals.
