Following the expansion of our Interventional Radiology (IR) service, we are excited to build our pioneer IR nursing workforce at the new Royal Marsden IR Unit in Sutton. We are looking to recruit an experienced IR nurse or any experienced nurse leader with transferable skills that can be evidenced as outlined in the job description.
The role would initially involve supporting and co-ordinating 4 sessions every Tuesday and Thursday with plans to further open additional sessions Monday through Friday.
The role would have a split of 60% clinical and 40% management function during the initial phase of the project until the department is fully operational.
The successful applicant will be expected to rotate through the different clinical areas within IR and demonstrate the required clinical skillsShifts are allocated according to service needs every Tuesday and Thursday:
o Procedure Room / Sedation RN: 08:00-17:00 or 08:30-17:30o Recovery RN: 09:00-18:00 or 09:30-18:30o Nurse led pre-assessment: TBC @ 8.5 hours per day (Monday/Wednesday/Friday)
