About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and confident Lead Child Protection Practitioner (LCPP) to join our Multi-Agency Child Protection Team (MACPT).
This is a key safeguarding role at the heart of our Family First Partnership (FFP) model, bringing together agencies to support timely and effective decision-making for children at risk.
You will play a central role in:
MACPT is a central safeguarding hub that coordinates multi-agency responses to child protection concerns.

This is a key safeguarding role at the heart of our Family First Partnership (FFP) model, bringing together agencies to support timely and effective decision-making for children at risk.
You will play a central role in:
- Chairing Child Protection Conferences and Review Conferences
- Leading multi-agency strategy meetings
- Facilitate safeguarding consultations
- Providing oversight and challenge to ensure robust safeguarding practice
MACPT is a central safeguarding hub that coordinates multi-agency responses to child protection concerns.
The service manages:
- Daily consultations
- Strategy discussions
- Progression of cases through S47, ICPC and review processes
Key Responsibilities
- Chair Initial and Review Child Protection Conferences
- Lead and coordinate strategy meetings
- Facilitate safeguarding consultations
- Provide professional oversight and challenge
- Work closely with partners including IFD, Family Help and Police (CAIT)
- Contribute to the development of consistent safeguarding practice
- Hybrid working model
- Office presence required for duty weeks and key meetings
- Flexibility within the duty system, including some remote working
You will be:
- An experienced safeguarding professional
- Confident in chairing complex multi-agency meetings
- Able to make clear, evidence-based decisions
- Resilient and able to work in a fast-paced environment
