Lead Electrician – Solar Installations
Overview
We are seeking a qualified Electrician to join our growing renewable energy installation team. This role is ideal for an experienced Electrician looking to develop their career within the solar industry, or for someone with existing Solar PV experience seeking their next opportunity.
Working across residential and small commercial projects, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical installations for Solar PV systems, battery storage solutions, and EV charging infrastructure. You will work closely with installation teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out AC electrical installation work for Solar PV systems, battery storage, and EV charging solutions.
- Complete testing, commissioning, and certification of electrical installations.
- Document all electrical work accurately and maintain compliance records.
- Commission solar inverters and battery storage systems, following manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
- Work collaboratively with installation teams to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Ensure all installations comply with current electrical regulations and company quality standards.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults when required.
- Maintain a strong focus on health and safety across all sites.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the business professionally on-site.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to maintaining high operational standards.
- Participate in product and technical training to develop knowledge of emerging renewable energy technologies.
Requirements
- Qualified Electrician with a minimum of 4 years' electrical installation experience.
- Full UK Driving License.
- Strong understanding of electrical testing, inspection, and certification processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship.
Desirable
- Previous experience installing Solar PV systems.
- Experience with battery storage systems and EV chargers.
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and industry regulations.
- Experience commissioning solar inverters and battery storage equipment.
- NICEIC or equivalent industry accreditation experience.
