We have a Maintenance Operative - Fabric opportunity on a 6‑month fixed term contract, operating as a mobile role supporting the Ashtead region and surrounding patch. A van and tools will be provided.

The Details

  • Salary: From £29,000 per annum
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:00
  • Contract: Fixed Term - 6 Months
  • Location: Mobile across Ashtead, Caterham, Dorking, Leatherhead, Reigate and surrounding areas
  • Qualification Required: NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry & Joinery (essential)

Key Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Operative - Fabric, you will carry out essential fabric and carpentry tasks across NHSPS sites, including:

  • Fire door inspections
  • Remedial and repair work
  • Work on locks, windows, doors and general fabric elements
  • Supporting safe, compliant, well‑maintained premises

Where You'll Be

This is a mobile role, providing fabric maintenance support across NHS Property Services premises within your designated Ashtead patch. A company vehicle will be supplied.
