We have a permanent Maintenance Operative (Fabric) role to join our team, based at South Dean Primary Care Resource Centre, covering the Liverpool & Cheshire (N6) region.
- £29,000 per annum (starting salary)
- Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00
- Permanent contract
- Company van & tools provided
- On‑call allowance included
Key Responsibilities
This role will deliver a full fabric maintenance service within NHS Property Services premises, ensuring safe, compliant and well‑maintained buildings across the region.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out a wide range of fabric maintenance tasks, including basic carpentry and joinery
- Completing both planned and reactive maintenance activities
- Supporting fire door checks and repair work (desirable skill)
- Ensuring all works meet statutory, regulatory and internal NHSPS standards
- Representing the organisation professionally with a strong customer‑focused approach
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across multiple NHS sites in Liverpool & Cheshire

What We're Looking For
Essential
- NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry & Joinery (suitable for fabric maintenance roles)
- Experience in fabric maintenance
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Driving licence
Desirable
- Experience working with fire doors
- Fire‑door maintenance qualifications
