As a Neurosurgery Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Neurosurgery team in delivering high-quality patient care and services. This apprenticeship provides hands-on experience of the essential administrative tasks within the Neurosurgery Department.
The post holder will be part of the multidisciplinary neurosurgical teams, offering administrative support to ensure the effective delivery of clinical services. This will include, but is not limited to patient telephone communication, booking appointments, arranging admissions and preparing multidisciplinary team meetings. This Apprenticeship is supported by senior medical professionals and management, enabling them to learn, develop and build a strong foundation for a career in NHS administration.

Learning and Development

Training will be provided for the following systems:
o EPIC training provided by the Trusts EPIC Team and access is only granted once training is completed.
o Sectra training provided on the job training
o IEP provided by on the job training
o eRS provided by on the job training
o Excel build on existing skills with on the job training.
Training will be provided on the job in relation to:
o Patients Admissions
o MDT Meeting / Patient Pathways
