The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Paediatric Allergy Service as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
This post provides an opportunity for an experienced paediatric nurse to develop their skills, knowledge and expertise in allergy through education, training and clinical practice.
Following a period of structured, competency-based training, the post holder will work collaboratively and autonomously within the context of the MDT to ensure high quality, family-centred, evidence-based allergy care.
The successful candidate will assist in the planning, development and delivery of paediatric allergy services for patients and families.
Our team holistically supports families through investigations, diagnosis and treatment. This can include food allergies, drug allergies and immunotherapy.
Provision of allergy management, education and training is essential to our patient group. This improves patient outcomes, reduces anxiety and often leads to improved self-management of allergic conditions.
The successful candidate will also support clinical and educational links with primary, secondary and tertiary care settings. The provision of allergy education and support for schools and nurseries is another key element of this role.
