We’re looking for a proactive and people-focused Recruitment Advisor to join our team at Birmingham Children’s Trust. This role is fixed term for 2 years.
Reporting directly to the Recruitment Partner, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality, responsive and compliant recruitment service that supports our vital frontline and corporate services.
You will be the first point of contact for recruitment and general HR queries, providing competent, practical advice and guidance to both internal and external stakeholders. You will partner closely with hiring managers to understand their needs, support them through the recruitment lifecycle, and ensure a smooth journey from advert to onboarding.
You will need to be confident in managing a varied workload, able to prioritise effectively and maintain a high level of accuracy, particularly when working with systems, pre-employment checks and payroll-related information where attention to detail is critical.
Experience in onboarding is essential. You will have a strong understanding of pre-employment processes including right to work checks, references, DBS clearance, medical clearances and contractual documentation. You will ensure new starters are progressed efficiently and compliantly, liaising with payroll and HR colleagues to guarantee a smooth transition into the Trust. A proactive approach to resolving onboarding queries and preventing delays will be key to your success.
You will be a strong communicator who can quickly build positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, offering clear advice, guidance and practical support throughout the recruitment process. A solution-focused mindset is essential, along with the ability to remain flexible and responsive in a fast-paced, changing environment.

This is a hybrid role based in Birmingham, and you will be required to attend the office twice a week, so you must have the correct right-to-work documents to work in the UK. Sadly, we do not support those who require sponsorship.
