For the purposes of this job description this fellowship is intended to allow an experienced neurophysiology trainee to obtain experience, both academically and clinically, in intra-operative monitoring (IOM). This post will provide experience sufficient to allow a successful fellow to offerhimself/herself for appointment to a consultant position. To achieve this the trainee will be given experience in the following broad areas.
The postholder will work closely with the lead Consultant for intra-operative monitoring service, working closely with the lead to ensure there is a high quality IOM service provided to the neurosurgery team at King's College Hospital.
The post holder will support the delivery of a high-quality intraoperative monitoring (IOM) service within Neurosurgery at King's College Hospital. This includes providing real-time neurophysiological monitoring during complex neurosurgical procedures to minimise neurological risk, supporting theatre activity, and contributing to safe and effective patient care across adult and paediatric services.
