Job Description
You will shape the cost and pricing insight that underpins compelling bids, credible proposals, and long‑term programme strategies. Working across functions, you will develop cost models, validate inputs, and produce robust, defensible pricing that strengthens business strategy and supports customer commitments. Your work directly influences competitiveness, value, and future Weapon Systems opportunities.
Core Duties
Prepare and agree costed commercial proposals, ensuring pricing is robust, credible, and defensible
Develop cost models and interrogate functional inputs to identify cost drivers, risks, and opportunities
Produce parametric and “should‑cost” models to inform business strategies and strengthen competitiveness
Ensure cost and pricing inputs for lifecycle and business approval processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment
Interpret out‑turn data, prepare costings for contract changes, and support negotiations with clear, evidence‑based insight
Essential Skills
Considerable experience in cost estimating, pricing, or cost analysis within engineering or project‑based environments
Significant capability in cost modelling and financial analysis, identifying cost drivers, risks, and opportunities
Experience supporting tendering, bid, or proposal activity with accurate, defensible cost submissions
Advanced Excel proficiency essential, with the ability to work across functions to validate and vildate inputs
Experience with parametric modelling tools desirable, with training available
