Job description
To lead the nursing team to deliver high quality nursing care to the practice population. This includes assessment of patients needs, health screening, health promotion, treatment and evaluation of care within agreed practice protocols. To play a significant part in service development in accordance with the practice business plan, mission, vision and values and the Primary Care Network plan. To lead and manage the site based nursing team in liaison with the Director of Nursing. To play a significant role in assisting the organisation to meet and maintain all performance targets and key performance indicators.
Practitioners working at this level must be able to use their original knowledge and skills as a basis from which to further develop practice. They must have the ability to use complex reasoning, critical thinking, reflection and analysis to inform their health assessments, clinical judgments and decisions. Essential
RGN. Post registration diploma or degree in general practice nursing or equivalent. Teaching and assessing. (ENB 998 or equivalent, SSSA) Nursing qualification and or experience in more than two areas of chronic disease/ long term conditions Trained in immunisation, basic life support and management of anaphylaxis, wound care, travel health, cervical cytology, sexual health, ear care, safeguarding, infection control, information governance. Trained in personalized care and support planning
