Are you currently a band 5 or 6 nurse with significant post registration experience in paediatric nursing and looking for a challenging new experience?
The OPAT team are looking for a Band 6 nurse to join their service which offers intravenous antimicrobial therapy to patients who no longer require in-patient care.
The OPAT service aims to provide a service managing children on IV antimicrobial therapy either in their own homes, or in an ambulant care setting.
As a Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse within the OPAT team, you will contribute to co-ordinating the specialist OPAT service in a variety of settings ensuring the quality-of-care provision to children.
You will be responsible for monitoring patient condition, administering treatment and communicating change to the OPAT Nurse Manager or Multi-Disciplinary team.
It is essential that you have a current UK driving licence and access to a car you can use for work.
You will need enthusiasm, motivation, ability to work both within a team and autonomously, and have a commitment to providing a high standard of clinical practice and care to our patients.
The OPAT service needs a band 6 nurse who always maintains professionalism and who takes pride in the care they give to the patients and their families, as well as being dedicated to their own personal and professional development and the development of the service.
