We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Media and Digital Officer to join our team at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.
Shooting Star Children’s Hospices provides specialist care and support to families who have a baby, child or young person with a life-limiting condition, or who have been bereaved. Rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission, we support families across Surrey, north-west London and south-west London from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care.

About The Role
Your key purpose will be to to help raise awareness of Shooting Star’s vital work and inspire people to support us. You will manage social media scheduling, contribute to creating engaging content, and play a key role in promoting our fundraising campaigns through both organic and paid social, as well as landing page creation and optimisation, working on all areas of the digital marketing funnel.
You will tailor content to our different social channels, helping us to engage with long terms supporters, local companies and key decision makers. As well as sharing the stories of the families we support with sensitivity, you will showcase the expert care we provide, and celebrate our dedicated, talented staff – making a real difference through powerful, engaging digital communications.
About You
This role requires experience of running social media accounts (personal or brand) as well as knowledge of the latest trends in social media and running paid social media campaigns. Your knowledge of social media management tools and website editing will also prove invaluable in this officer role.
