Our Emergency Departments provide innovative and fastpaced integrated emergency care to a wide range of patientsfrom East Kent. It is our inspiration to develop into anacademic and research unit in emergency medicine for Kent.The Emergency Departments, one at the William HarveyHospital (WHH), Ashford and the other at the Queen Elizabeththe Queen Mother Hospital (QEQMH), Margate, each offer afull 24 hour emergency service. The Emergency Departmentsare supported by co-located Urgent Treatment Centres, a 24hour UTC at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital with a further 7community UTCs in the region

Qualifications and training
Essential
- 3 years' experience in Emergency Medicine
- Minimum of English Level 2 (GCSE grade C or equivalent), ILETS, or graduate of a UK Medical School
Desirable
- Other degrees, e.g. BSc, MSc, MD
- Experience in ITU/Paediatrics/Medicine/Anaesthetics
- ATLS/APLS
Skills and experience
Essential
- Wide and extensive experience in all aspects of Emergency Medicine
- MRCEM
Desirable
- Special interest within or outside of Emergency Medicine
Clinical governance
Essential
- Evidence of participation in or an understanding of audit, complaints management, root cause analysis/serious incident investigation, plus morbidity/mortality meetings and Structured Judgement Reviews
