Staff Nurse

We are seeking to appoint a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our busy and dynamic Cardiac Cath Lab.

The Lab operates an on call 24/7 service. You will work closely with our Lead Nurse for Cardiology, Senior Charge Nurse and our interventional cardiologist team. Ideally, you will have cardiology experience, at band 5 level or above. Previous Cath Lab experience is preferable although not essential as we will consider applicants with transferrable skills.

This is a fast-paced department that provides scheduled coronary angiography and an emergency PPCI service. A significant number of cardiac devices such as pacemakers and ICD are also implanted. Cardiology in NHS Highland is committed to staff development and regular high quality CPD is delivered via a number of platforms.

• Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part-time hours will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
