An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 senior staff nurse to join our friendly and energetic team on Kennaway ward Kennaway ward is a 11-bed inpatient adult ward caring for cancer patients' undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery, and symptom control as part of their cancer journey. We also have a 3 bedded surgical day unit which runs 5 days a week offering day case surgery. The successful candidate will require excellent interpersonal and clinical skills and enjoy working as part of a team. You will be required to act as a role model for junior members of the team, ensuring care is delivered to a high standard in line with the values of the trust, and supporting them in their own professional development. Whilst also assuming managerial responsibilities for co-ordination of shifts, and supporting the Ward Sister with the management of staff, auditing, incident reporting and be actively involved in recruitment and developing skills as a leader within the Trust.Our ward commitment is to meet the Trust's goals of excellence in caring for our patients, their families and friends with professionalism, respect and dignity.
